How Can soreness And Pain In The Ankle Be Treated?

I have ankle pain made worse by working as a nurse.. h/o ankle sprains as teen and 31 year old. stiffness, soreness after working. now motteling on ankle and other foot as well. does this warrant a trip to the doctor or just something I deal with rest and ice

Try first to rest and not to bear on you foot for a long time, if not relieved, make serum uric acid level and visit a doctor
